Travelling Records was founded by Heather Enid Wells:
- to encourage and promote songwriters, composers and other creative musicians;
- to support live music primarily;
- but also to provide a non-studio-based recording facility for original music.
Travelling Records is not a record company in the usual sense of the term - it does not sign up artistes and then try to strangle the talent out of them in order to make money. The artistes retain their independence and ownership of all rights to their material and recordings. They are not contracted to Travelling Records in any way but are invited to make use of any of its services, some for free and others for a flat fee. No, not a fat fee.
